‘The roads we travel are the ones picked by ourselves, no-one can make us walk them without our own desire to do so.’
The wind tousled her long white hair, the silky strands danced about her which only added to her almost angelic innocence. Behind the dark lenses of her sunglasses she watched the strands knowing that this was as close to seeing her hair as she was ever going to get, a sigh left her lips as she turned to her ever faithful shadow, unaware of the fact that he’d had his eyes on her the entire time. “Alucard?” Her voice was gentle, caring but there was another level to it that hinted at mystery and secrets untold, or at least that was what Alucard said.
“Yes Major Valentine?” The Major smiled at him and he found himself blushing, realising his mistake. “I mean…uggg…” He scratched the back of his neck. “Sorry…What’s up Nymeria?” She only allowed her superiors to call her by her rank, Alucard had learnt that the hard way.
Behind her glasses her red eyes narrowed slightly. “Why do you keep on staring at me? I can feel your eyes melting holes into my back.” The blush that had already taken residence on his cheeks darkened. “Are you listening to me?”
“Y-yes…I just don’t want to let such an import member of the State Alchemists get lost or…going missing…or something…”
Her eyebrow raised in response, what was he talking about, why would she go missing? “Whatever you say Alucard, would you go and pick up my books while I go for a walk? I promise I won’t go missing.”
After making a few huffing noises he left to get her books, Nymeria sighed to herself as she turned and just started walking, it didn’t take her long to bump into someone despite her natural grace. “Oh my! I’m so sorry,” she quickly realised that her glasses had fallen down her nose to reveal her red eyes but luckily for her they were only partially open and for the most part hidden. “Please forgive me, I didn’t hear your steps….”

.X. ----------------------------------- It already has been a week or two since he came back from his punishment to East City. Although the lesson Jake was supposed to learn did not happen. His farther sent him to East City was because the fifteen year old kept on skipping his classes. It wasn’t like he didn’t want to learn alchemy; he just didn’t want to be a dog of the state like his father or his father before. Jake wanted to use his alchemy to help people instead of using his powers for the Amestrian army. He wanted to go travel and see the world, but his father would kill him if he ever tried to leave Central.
The teen was supposed to be in his alchemy training classes at the moment, but instead he was out and about taking a much needed walk away from his family. It had to been at least hour or so since he left his so-called home. Jake wasn’t really even paying attention much to where the hell he was going. He grew up in Central, so he didn’t have to worry about getting himself lost.
The fifteen year old had his head looking straight at the ground with a hood blocking his view of everything. He wasn’t really in the mood to be dealing with people either. Today was not the best for Jake, not to mention he was going to be in so much trouble when he got back. He’ll most likely be grounded again or sent off to some random place in Amestrian for some type of alchemy training. The teen just had too much going on in his head that he accidently bumped into someone else. “Oh my! I’m so sorry. Please forgive me, I didn’t hear your steps….”
“No it was my fault. I should have been paying more attention to where I was going…” Jake removed the hood, showing the fifteen year old’s face. He wasn’t exactly sure of what to say next as far as he could tell this woman was about of the military like his father. It was likely that she knew his father after all they were both in the military together.
